Why buy a repo home? ( Also called REO Or foreclosure property.) Well for one thing the market is flooded with them. What this means to the buyer is the banks are very motivated to reduce their inventory. IE more negotiating power for the buyer. Although most of these homes are sold in "as is" condition, in many cases repairs have been made prior to marketing them. Such as, Paint , carpet etc..

Buyers in todays market are enjoying lower prices and interest rates. This is enabling them to purchase homes in communities and neighborhoods they could not have just 12 months ago. There are currently many loan programs that allow qualified first time buyers as well as investors to purchase these homes. To get started they simply need to contact a mortgage professional  to get pre-qualified. This process often takes only a few minuets.

I welcome any and all comments and questions.

Best regards

Re: Why Buy A Repo?

Hi Jason,
How do you know when a home is bank owned and for sale? I see a lot vacant houses but there is not a sign in the lawn that says "for sale by bank". How can I find out?

Re: Why Buy A Repo?

Many of these vacant homes most likely are REOs. They are in the process of some sort of renavation or waiting to be assigned to a real estate agent. The easiest way to find out about a paticular home is to call a local REALTOR. The have access to county tax records as well as, there local mls.

Re: Why Buy A Repo?

There are hundreds and the numbers change dailly. My advice would narrow it down to specific area and price range in Corona.Once you have done that call a local REALTOR get info on those area's and ranges.

Re: Why Buy A Repo?

I bought a REO property last month and I would like to purchase one or two more to be used as rentals, your tour sounds like it is exactly what I am looking for, When are they going to start?

Re: Why Buy A Repo?

If I decide to sign up for one of your tours how do I know which area I will be touring? Obviously if I want to buy a home in Corona I wouldn't want to waste my time looking at homes in Moreno Valley of Riverside.
